Hi. First of all,  I’d like to say thank you for the opportunity of living with you and spend a year as a Exchange student, this is very important to me, because is much more than improving my English. I looking forward to know you culture, your way of life, yourselves, an American high school, other kind of life, so, let's start.
My name is Mariana Porto, but you can call me Mari, I am 14 years old and I live in a small city named Caieiras, but is 30 minutes away from São Paulo, the biggest city in Brazil, but it doesn't make it crowded and stressful, we are surrounded of waterfalls, mountains and nature in the neighbor cities (they are really close).. I really love living here, It's a nice place to live, there are many  things to do.
I live with my parents, my mom Lilian and my dad Joaquim, she is 44 and he is 45. My parents are police offiicer, and I don't have any brother or sister, but I'd like have, I love childrens and I would be very happy, if the family have kids, or teenager, or adults, no problem, I realy like have ''hostbrothers''.. I like pets very much, when I was children I had a cat, and now I have one bird.
I'm a very affective, extroverted and friendly person, I'm always happy and smiling,I love to make new friends and meet new people, I don’t have problems with adapting to new environments. So,I think I’ll get adapted to the new culture very easily.  I'm also affectionate with my family and friends, I hope I can be close to your family the same way I'm close to them, making this experience unforgettable to all of us..
Now I’m going to tell a little bit about my routine. From Monday to Friday I wake up at 5:30 a.m., take a shower, brush my teeth, dry my hair and go to school. My classes start at 7 a.m. and finish at 11h50 a.m. On Tuesday and Thursday, I leave school and go to volley training, I get home at 6h30 p.m., On the other days, I get home,I  have lunch and surf the internet, or watch tv, at night I dedicated my time for study and doing my homework and wait for my mom to come from work, we are so close each other. On weekends I try relax and go out with my friends, Saturday's mornings I go to the english class, but beside the class I like to go to the movies, shopping mall, parks, church,or get together in someone's house for a barbecue or maybe just to spend some time with my family. It doesn't matter where I am, I always be happy.
There are some activities I realy love to do.I love listen to music, all this kinds, I love practice sports too, volleyball is my favorite sport, I love play volleyball and I would be happy if you can see me play, haha.Soccer is pretty cool too,I support Corinthians and sometimes I watch soccer games with my dad. I really like days that has games!I like sports, and maybe I learn other sport in your country.
I love take pictures, i have a lot photos alone, with my parents, friends, It's pretty cool, have memories, I like travel, I like meet new places,I like take pictures of places too. So, I live in a hot country, i don't like hot weather very much, my city is so hot, everytime, I would like to spend a little cold in the U.S.A. haha, I've  never seen snow, but I think should be very beautiful.
I can't wait for taking this experience, this year in the USA is going to be the best one in my life. I’ll be very glad to live with you.
